100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 20

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel

Basílica y Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia

Usually, my answer to this is Greece, but I wanted to change it up a bit. This is someplace I've wanted to go since I was little. It just fascinates me. Plus, one of my best friends is currently living in Spain (not Barcelona), so why not want to be there, right?

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 19

Day 19 - A picture of something you love to do

I love love love to write. Novels, short stories, fan fictions, you name it. However, I can't write poetry and lyrics for the life of me. And yes, if you're hateful to me, I'll probably end up putting you in my book just to kill you off :)

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 18

Day 18 - A picture of your biggest insecurity

I am terrified that once I get into my career field I'm not going to be good enough to do my job. That I'm not as good as my peers. And I totally feel like this picture a lot, because no matter how much I plan, people still question or doubt me.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 16

Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you

Riley, Jaxie and Lulu. They show me that life goes way too fast to sweat the small stuff and not live life to the fullest. They inspire me to be a better person.

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

Hands down, favorite store. The majority of my closet is from here. It gets me in trouble sometimes though because I wanna own EVERYTHING.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 13

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist

Lady Antebellum
Because I went to see Taylor the other night, I'm super obsessed with her again, as well. BUT before the other night I had downloaded a bunch of new music in the last few weeks and I was obsessed with Lady A. Their new album is absolutely phenomenal and it reminded me why I love them so much. And now I have all of their albums on repeat on iTunes :)

I Had The Time Of My Life Fighting Dragons With You

So life is getting slightly back to normal. And by normal, I mean our constantly chaotic life. Gammy isn't talking as crazy as she was before. With that being said, I still don't trust a lot that she says because she's usually not sure what she's talking about. I'm trying to think of what has happened since the last time I blogged. With the exception of last night, but we'll save that until the end.

My Lulu turned TWO! And she's meaner than ever. Everything is either "Nope!" or "NO MINE!" Yeah, she's a mess. I got to go to Tulsa for part of the weekend and spend time with my Aunt T and her family, that was fun. I got to see my cousin, Justin's kids, Allyson, who is 22 months today and Baby J, who is 7 months today. They are soooo cute and the complete opposite of our crazy kids. They're all calm and will climb up in your lap and just hang out. At one point on Sunday, Allyson and I were curled up on the couch with football on TV, Dora on YouTube and me doing homework all at once. It was a lazy weekend to say the least. AND Aunt T and I are going to take a concealed carry class together, so I'm kinda excited for that. Gammy has always wanted to get me a tazer, but I honestly think I would be more apt to use a gun than a tazer. I don't want someone to get close enough to me to taze them, at least with a gun they can be further away from you. Now I don't know what I would do if I had to shoot someone. The actual shooting, I could do to defend myself, but it would be the after part. Let's just hope I don't have to use the gun.

Anyway, this week has been boring. I've had three people give me major apologies for different reasons, none that I really want to get into, but it was a little odd that they all came within a few days of each other. I was thinking the world was coming to an end.

On to last night...TAYLOR SWIFT. We bought our tickets in like February for Kaitlin, Lauren, Nikki and myself to go. Then Kaitlin decided to study abroad this semester. I know going to Spain is soooo much cooler than going to see Taylor Swift, but it was super weird going without Kait! We've been going to see Taylor together since the spring of 2007 and not having my bestie there beside me was definitely odd. However, having Lauren and Nikki there was amazing, we always have fun when we go see Taylor! Aunt T was supposed to go, but at the last minute she decided not to go, so Nikki's boyfriend ended up going. I think he had a good time and he bought a Taylor shirt, that's freaking awesome.

Let's rewind a moment. I had planned on leaving the house at 3, picking up Nikki and Chase, then going to get something to eat at like Panera or somewhere before going downtown. So I leave at three, get almost to Muskogee, Aunt T calls to see what the plan is, I tell her. Two minutes later, Lauren calls to see what the plan is, I tell her too. By this time, it's almost 4 (concert is at 7). I get off the phone with Lauren and not even a minute later, I realize I have left the tickets at home. I had no other choice, but to drive to Keota, get the tickets and drive back. What should have been a three hour drive was made in a little under two and a half hours. Granted, I took the interstate and turnpike on my second trip so I didn't have to speed that much.

So we get to the concert, have the time of our lives. There's something about 13,000 screaming fans that make concerts 10 times better. Every time I see Taylor live is better than the last. You never know what's gonna happen next at one of her concerts, but you're sure to have an amazing time. She walked right by our seats and Nikki got to touch her, I thought she was going to pass out (Nikki, not Taylor). And I warned Nikki that "Long Live" was going to make me cry. That song always makes me cry, but for some reason when I songs live they make me cry a lot more. There's a line in the song that says "Cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world." And it makes me think of high school. My friends and I (for the most part), we weren't the popular kids coming into high school, we didn't play sports or anything like that. FCCLA was our thing, we were kinda geeks, we didn't party, we didn't hang out with the "cool crowd." We were us and we were completely happy with that. By the time we graduated high school, we were pretty well respected because of our achievements in FCCLA, we had won more titles than any of the sports teams. And I feel the line in that song fits us well. And sure enough, I bawled. Partially because the song means a lot to me, mostly because at this point, I was missing Kait like crazy. Then I cried during "Fifteen" because Nikki just turned fifteen last week. And that song is also so true, I wish she could see what I see now. I know I don't know everything, but I look back to when I was fifteen and thought I knew everything and I just laugh because I didn't know ANYTHING. She is wiser than a lot of fifteen-year-olds I know, which is a good thing, but I know she thinks she knows more than she really does and that everyone is out to ruin her life, just like most fifteen-year-olds.

And now I have a sore throat, aching body and blisters on my feet, but I'm not even upset about that because it's all worth it! Anyway, I'm outta here. Got some GH to watch :) I'll leave you with some more lyrics from "Long Live."

Will you take a moment, promise me this
That you'll stand by me forever
But if God forbid fate should step in
And force us into a goodbye
If you have children some day
When they point to the pictures
Please tell them my name
Tell them how the crowds went wild
Tell them how I hope they shine

Long live the walls we crashed through
I had the time of my life with you
Long, long live the walls we crashed through
How the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming long live all the magic we made
And bring on all the pretenders
I'm not afraid
Singing, long live all the mountains we moved
I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you
I was screaming long live the look on your face
And bring on all the pretenders
One day we will be remembered

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 12

Day 12 - A picture of something you love

Traveling. I love getting to go new places and experience new cultures. I don't get to use my passport near as much as I'd like, but I like traveling in the US just as much.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 11

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate
LIME. GREEN. PLASTIC.
I know I usually say I don't hate anything and I probably wouldn't go as far as saying I hate lime green plastic,  but it's pretty darn close. And if you don't get it, I'm not going to explain it to you.
We're just like you, only prettier :)

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 10

Day 10 - A picture of someone you do the craziest things with

Kinsey McCall, once again. This picture isn't really that crazy compared to some of the things we've done, but it makes me giggle and reminds me of Kinz telling Ronnie "Look, we're Harry Potter pictures!" And he had no idea what she was talking about.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 07

Day 07 - A picture that makes you laugh

Never fails. This was at the end of the night (by that I mean 3 AM) in LA. I did have more clothes on at the beginning of the night, that's why I know it was so late. We were on our way back from Jerry's following a whirlwind evening. Our hotel had these topiary things that were supposed to be reindeer, complete with red bows from last Christmas. But they were like half bald. Summer and I were intrigued by them, so we had to stop for a picture. If you click on the picture, you can see my purple hair and it makes the picture prettier :)

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 06

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

Bianca Alex Russo
Who also has another name that I never call her by. Who we also call "Nini." I lovelovelove this girl. I truly believe she lives life to the fullest and she loves the life she leads. The short time I've known her, I've seen her upset maybe three times. She always has a smile on her face and she's passionate about everything she loves. She's beautiful inside and out. She may not be perfect, but remember, you're not either, princess. She's perfect to me :)

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 05

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

General Hospital Fan Club Weekend 2010
This was something I had waited literally half my life to do. I begged and begged Gammy to take me to FCW once in my life and I would be happy. In the end, I had to make it happen for myself. I was thankful that by then, my best friend was actually as obsessed as I was! So Kinz and I took off to LA. I was thinking oh, checking it off the bucket list, I'll never be able to go again...guess I was wrong. I think FCW10 will always hold a special place in my heart over the others just because it was the first.

This picture was take on the last night and I had seriously been talking about Sunday night since we got on the plane in Denver. Lulu had been my favorite character pretty much since she was born. She Luke and Laura's daughter, I wish I could be her, blah, blah, blah. Then as I got older, I realized that our childhoods were somewhat similar. And when Julie graced our screen almost 6 years ago, I was in awe. She has played out Lulu's life story so well in just the short amount of time she's been there. I have so much respect for this girl and it was such a pleasure getting to meet her.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 04

Day 04 - A picture of yourself and a family member

Addilynn Vermelle. AKA Sweet Caroline Lulu Renesmee. AKA Lulu. I love the heck out of this girl, but I miss her being this little. This picture was taken almost a year-and-a-half ago to the day during our trip to Disney World when she was only six months old. And yes, those are her sunglasses.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 03

Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show

General Hospital
I've been watching this show since I was born and can remember things that happened on there when I was 2. I had to stop watching when Mom put me in afternoon kindergarten until I went into home school in 6th grade. When I went back to public school in 8th grade, I started recording it and haven't missed a day since. I've been wanting to go to General Hospital Fan Club Weekend since I was 11 and last year that dream came true. This year, I got to go again, that's where this picture came from :)

We Own Half of Australia!

So here's a little bit of an update on life...

As some of you know, Gam took another stay in the hospital. This time for an infection in her foot. While she was there, she became extremely disoriented...like didn't even know who we were at times, disoriented. She spent 8 days there and we were able to bring her home on Friday. The doctor thinks her body has taken all the chemo it can take right now and they are planning on doing surgery as the next step. Meanwhile, Gammy is home resting, more oriented than she was in the hospital, but still pretty out of it. She keeps telling us some girl in Kinta was in a really bad wreck yesterday and someone in our family had twins. And here's the best part, we own half of Australia! Maybe more! Yeah, she's out of it. I don't know whether we agree with her or tell her she doesn't know what she's talking about. Because Mom and I are with her a majority of the time, we are to the point to where we just laugh at everything because if we didn't, we would probably be in tears all the time.

I had to take my first exam of the semester last week. Since it's almost a three-hour class, our professor (who, if I haven't said it before, is a cross between Sarah Palin and Lela Ballard minus the politics) had planned on lecturing for part of the class then giving us our exam. That's what most professors do for three-hour classes because otherwise you waste a lot of class time. So anyway, I was prepared for lecture and my exam. She walks in, tells us she thinks she's being too harsh on us, so she's not going to lecture. Then she tells us when we come to her desk and pick up an exam, we need to turn our cell phones in because she's had problems with texting and cheating. Okay, no problem. THEN she tells us when we go back to our desks, to take out or books and notes because it's an open-book, open-note test. The test was all short answer. Don't freak out when I say this, because if you studied at all, you were going to do pretty well on the test anyway. She gave us all the questions two days earlier, so I only had to look up like two of the answers and that was just to make sure I covered all the bases. Easiest test ever. It kinda sucked though, because right now I have no car and all of my friends in town have families and can't really go out much, so I never get to go anywhere unless it's with my mom to go to doctor's appointments or Walmart or something. So Wednesday nights are my "night out," even though I go to school, I look forward to being by myself on that drive to and from Tahlequah, but that night I had to come home early. Oh well, I got over it.

However, this week I got a real night out. UAFS (University of Arkansas-Fort Smith) put on a 3-night concert series. Friday night, Dierks Bentley was there. My friend Kambrye and I decided to go, then her little sister and her boyfriend decided they wanted to go with us. So Kam and I had dinner at La Huerta, while Punkey and Lake went to eat with some of their friends. Then we went to the concert, saw everyone and their dog there, but we had a blast. It was sooo nice to actually go and hang out with people my own age (even though we did kinda hang out with Kait's dad for awhile).

Anyway, I have some stuff to do, so I'm outta here.

100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 02

Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

Kinsey McCall...who really has another name that I never call her by. Sometimes I forget that we didn't grow up together and that we've really only known each other for 7 years. A lot of people think we're sisters, which is believable because I guess we could look alike to an unknowing eye and we argue, annoy and love each other like sisters. Get used to her face because you will probably be seeing her a lot over the next 98 days :)
