100 Day Picture Challenge - Day 30

Day 30 - A picture of your favorite quote

Meet Sterling. This little boy had a brain tumor that was causing him to have horrible, horrible seizures. I mean, like 10-20 A DAY! Could you imagine that? He had to have a grid put in his brain last spring to figure out where they started and how they could stop them, because completely removing the tumor could cause irreparable damage.

Anyway, I had always liked this verse, but it wasn't until I found Sterling's story that I knew the true meaning. Sterling's family is a devout Christian family and they do many things to serve the Lord. That's what I love about families like Sterling's, because even though they're going through a hard time, they can still do things to serve others and our God. This picture is from the day he went into surgery, they fixed up his hospital gown all nice and neat and he went to surgery like that, I thought it was cool.

Little did I know that a few short months later Joshua 1:9 would become my "life verse." It reads: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Remember how I said the surgery was last spring? Sterling is nearing the 6-month mark of being SEIZURE FREE. How amazing is that?
